GRANTHAM -- Jim Daniels, 88, 586 Selah Church Road, went to be with his Lord and Master Monday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, with visitation immediately following the service. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Daniels was born in Greene County July 19, 1920, to the late Frank and Minnie Eason Daniels. He was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945.

Mr. Daniels was a member of Riverside Free Will Baptist Church in Princeton.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Radford Daniels; one son, James P. Daniels of Grantham; one daughter, Barbara Daniels Lewis and husband, Ellis Lewis, of Newton Grove; one sister, Frankie Sykes of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Dorinda Lewis Dew, Rodney R. Lewis, Emily Daniels Jenkins and husband, Clay Jenkins, and Jonathan S. Daniels and fiancée, Amy Davis; and three great-grandchildren, C.J. Dew Jr., Lewis Dew and Kylee E. Daniels.
