William Godwin Stanley, 89, died Monday at Louisburg Nursing Center.
A pilgrim service will be held at 7 p.m.Thursday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel and the family will remain and greet friends after the service.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late George A. and Hedwig Jacobs Stanley and the husband of the late Jessie Stanley.
Arrangements are being handled by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory.
