SELMA -- Dorthalene Batten Rose, 80, passed away on Friday. Preceding her in death was her husband, Clyde Genell Rose and a granddaughter, Tonya Merritt.
Mrs. Rose is survived by two daughters, Linda Rose Merritt and husband, Harry, of Clinton, Darlene Rose Williford and husband, Mike, of Pikeville; and one son, Ronnie Genell Rose and wife, Nelda, of Rolesville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
The family will greet friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma Sunday from 5 until 7 p.m. The celebration of her life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 2 p.m.
