FREMONT -- Ronnie Keith Person, 50, of 265 B Pinkney Church Road, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.
Mr. Person was born in Wayne County on April 20, 1958 to the late Lester and Martha Ellen Jones Person. He was employed with Wayne Electric in Goldsboro.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Patricia "Pat" Person; one son, Ronnie Keith Person Jr. of the home; brothers, Lester Person and wife, Paula, of Goldsboro, John Person of Goldsboro, Tommy Person and wife, Angie, of Princeton, Gary Person of Goldsboro and Jackie Person of Goldsboro; sisters, Jean Person of Goldsboro, Judy Hinson of Kinston, Margaret Lancaster and husband, Gary, of Pikeville, Rose Grant and husband, Ronnie, of Goldsboro, Teresa Beasley and husband, Danny, of Nahunta and Carla Vick and husband, Jeff, of Pikeville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
A service to celebrate Keith's life will be held today at 3 p.m. at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at Lane Tree Golf Club and Conference Center, 2317 Salem Church Road and other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Wayne County Humane Society, P.O. Box 821, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530, Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534 or to the charities of one's choice.
