HAROLD L. HARDISON

FOUNTAIN -- Mr. Harold Lloyd Hardison, 81, passed away Tuesday morning at Hardison Homeplace outside of Snow Hill.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral service with the Rev. Alan Joyner officiating. Interment will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery with military honors.

A native of Greene County, he was born Jan. 16, 1927, the son of William Arthur Hardison and Mollie Beadie Beaman Hardison.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and after having completed his enlistment there, joined the U.S. Air Force where he served for more than 20 years, retiring as a Tech. Sgt.

Mr. Hardison is survived by his sisters, Mary Hardison and Selma Lanway, both of Snow Hill, Minnie Matthews of South Carolina, and Kay Kearney and husband, Richard of Goldsboro; brothers, Doc Hardison and wife, Irene of Fountain and Arthur Hardison and wife, Gertrude of Virgina; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the Hardison home, 2710 Beaman Old Creek Road, Snow Hill.

Arrangements are being handled by Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service of Snow Hill.
