DONALD A. THROWER

Died Nov. 17, 2008

MOREHEAD CITY -- Donald A. Thrower, 61, died Monday at home.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Fields officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Mr. Thrower served in the U. S. Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Guam. He spent his career in the restaurant business, where he held numerous management positions. At the time of his death he was employed with Lowe's Foods of Morehead City. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

He is survived by three sisters, Linda T. Godwin and husband, Earl, of Morehead City, Sally T. Gordon and husband, Doug, of Goldsboro, and Lisa T. Lawrence and husband, Cliff, of Morehead City.

In addition, he is survived by nieces Karen Baggett and Michele Kindlesparker, and nephew Michael Gordon.

Mr. Thrower had seven great nieces and nephews: C.J. Baggett, Brad Baggett, Isley Baggett, Zeb Baggett, Nathan Kindlesparker, Isabelle Baggett and Julia Kindlesparker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.L. Thrower Jr. and Lillian C. Thrower.

Visitation will be held tonight from 6 until 8 at Munden Funeral Home.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Baptist Men's Ministry, Parkview Baptist Church, 4738 Arendell St., Morehead City, N.C.

Arrangements are being handled by Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City, N.C.
