In profound sorrow, the McIntyre Funeral Home Staff announces the death of our dear friend, Goldsboro City Firefighter and EMS team member Carol "Irene" Taylor.
Carol Irene Taylor, 41,106 Twin Creeks Drive peacefully passed from this mortal stay Saturday morning at her residence. She joined her beloved late son, Jadie, whom she sorely missed and loved with all her heart
Her life and service to God and mankind will be remembered Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Headquarters. Her remains will be transported to her final resting place in the Elmwood Cemetery atop a Goldsboro city fire truck.
We share in this time of bereavement along with her survivors, which include six sisters: Alberta R. Lewis Hayes, Debra Taylor, Agnes Taylor, Erika Taylor, Sharon Battle and Shelia Thomas; and a brother, William Taylor.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 until 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. The family will receive friends at all times at 1306 Holly St. where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
