MILTON WESTBROOK

COATS -- Mr. Milton "Billy" "Tony" Westbrook, 75, 2534 N.C. Highway 55 W. died Friday at his home.

Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats with pastor Lance Bailey and the Rev. Trent Sessoms officiating. Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier.

Mr. Westbrook was born Sept. 8, 1933, in Duplin County to the late George Dewey and Hattie Bell Miller Westbrook. He was also preceded in death by a brother, J.D. Westbrook, and a sister, Evelyn Kornegay.

Mr. Westbrook was a self-employed plumber and was a member for over 30 years with the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local Union No. 785. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of American Legion Banner Post 109. Mr. Westbrook was a member of Brooks Avenue Church of Christ in Raleigh.

Surviving are his wife, Bettie Elmore Westbrook; children, Dewey Franklin Westbrook and wife, Susan of Coats, Catherine W. McClanahan and husband, Hunter of Oxford, and Jennifer W. Gould and husband, Sawyer of Greensboro; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service tonight at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
