William "Bill" Charles Christman, 63, 126 Perry Drive, died at his residence.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A private family interment will held be at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late William John and Dorothy Buddensick Christman.
Bill was retired from New York City as a human resources special investigator. He was a teacher at Rosewood High School and was a hockey coach for the N.C. School League. He served his county in the United States Navy.
Surviving are his sister, Barbara DiGregorio and husband, Leonard of Marblehead, Mass.; brothers, Edward Budd Christman and wife, Emily of Chesapeake, Va. and Christopher Christman and wife, C.C. of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night following the prayer service at the funeral home until 9 p.m.
