SEVEN SPRINGS -- Russell "Rusty" Lynn Kennedy, 51, 835 Broadhurst Road, died Monday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Ceme-tery.
Born in Lenoir County, he was the son of Elbert and Lonie Kennedy of Pink Hill.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Dean Kennedy; four stepchildren, Tammy Mitchell and husband, Bobby, Jeff Lane and wife, Donna, Richard Lane, Scott Lane and wife, Lori, all of Seven Springs; three brothers, Harold Dean Kennedy and wife, Phyllis, Terry Kennedy and wife, Lynn, Jeff Kennedy and wife, Jennifer, all of Pink Hill; one sister, Faye Blizzard and husband, Lonnie of Pink Hill; 11 grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.
The Kennedy family will receive friends Thursday evening immediately following the funeral service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
