RALPH A. BRASWELL

Ralph A. Braswell, 82, 401A St., died Sunday at home.

Graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Braswell was born in Wayne County to the late Wilbert Z. and Effie Hines Braswell. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Merchant Marines. Mr. Braswell was a member of the World Wide Church of God and retired from Dupont. He was also a past hospice volunteer.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Forehand Braswell; sons, Richard "Ricky" Braswell and wife, Gloria, of Goldsboro, Ronald "Ron" Braswell and wife, Sharon, of Goldsboro, and Bill Braswell and wife, Barbara, of Salida, Calif.; daughter, Phyllis Smith and husband, Kenneth, of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Wilbert, Edward, Hubert, Reginald and Donald Braswell; and two sisters, Grace Braswell and Lorraine B. Rago.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, Goldsboro, and other times at the residence.
