WINSTON-SALEM -- Willie Ray Davis, 72, formerly of Duplin County, died Friday at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He is the son of the late William Forest and Callie Davis.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, 1222 E. 14th St., Winston Salem, with the Rev. Tyson officiating. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Malaria Davis of the home; daughters, Malinda Wilson of Greensboro and Gloria J. Davis of Warsaw; sons, Donald Ray Davis of Winston Salem and Johnnie Underwood of Mount Olive; brothers, Aldrich Edwin Davis of Mount Olive and James A. Davis of Wilson; sisters, Neicy Moore of Magnolia, Shirley D. Wells of Winston-Salem, Dorothy Parker of Faison, Mamie Sherard and Gloria Gayle Hardy of Goldsboro and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services are being handled by Russell Funeral Home, 822 Carl Russell Ave., Winston-Salem.
