PINE LEVEL -- Peggy Ellis Wainwright, 70, 136A James Drive, died Saturday at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born to the late Hazel Ellis Garner and stepfather, Talmadge Garner. She was reared by her grandparents, Jonathon Luther and Nellie Ellis. She was retired from Belks with 21 years of service.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Price Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Ellis and Wally Mathis officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Wainwright; son, Talmadge Scott Wainwright of Raleigh; daughters, Gloria Broadwell of Selma and Pam McDaris of Pine Level; one grandson.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Casey Funeral Home, Princeton.
