WALSTONBURG -- Rebecca White Walston, 80, 2168 Howell Swamp Church Road, died Wednesday. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Snow Hill, and was preceded in death by her husband, W. Melford Walston.
Funeral services will be today at 7 p.m. from the Church Street Chapel of the Farmville Funeral Home by the Rev. Dean Jackson and the Rev. Ken Bartholomew. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service and other times at the home of Bronnie and Lou Chase, 393 Central Drive, Snow Hill. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Walstonburg Cemetery, Walstonburg.
She is survived by four daughters, Becky Holland and husband, George, of Kinston, Lou Chase and husband, Bronnie, of Snow Hill, Pat West and husband, Vic, of Farmville, and Terry Rodgers and husband, Larry, of Stantonsburg; two sons, John Walston and wife, Linda, of Walstonburg, and Dennis Walston and wife, Diane, of Stantonsburg; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two special sisters and two special brothers.
