DUDLEY -- Ruby Lee Wiggs Cooke, 75, 100 Jenny Lane, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Minnie Strickland Wiggs and wife of the late Walter H. Cooke Jr. She was a former employee of Universal Furniture Industries and a member of New Life Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Mondell officiating.
Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Indian Springs Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce Allen Cooke of Selma and William Henry Cooke of Dudley; sister, Myrtle Worley of Goldsboro; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Family members will greet friends at the church immediately following the funeral service.
