RACHEL P. WATKINS

PIKEVILLE - Rachel Pope Watkins, 81, died Thursday. Graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Kenly Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Lyn Renfrow and Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley W. Spencer and husband, R.E.,of Kenly; sister, JoAnn Pope Davis and husband, Kenneth, of Goldsboro; two granddaughters, Debbie Renfrow and husband, Artie, Stacy Little and husband, Tim; three great-grandchildren, Rachel and Emma Renfrow and Tyler Little.
Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Ellis and Neta Mitchell Pope Phillips; husband, Wiley Hubert Watkins; sister, Inez Pope Stone; and brother, William E. Pope.
Family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Coley Funeral Home and other times at the home of R.E. and Shirley Spencer, 2379 Richardson Bass Road, Kenly 27542.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, 27534.
