SMITHFIELD - Mary Overbee Toole, 84, Brogden School Road, died Wednesday. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late John William and Penny Woodard Overbee and the widow of Eugene F. Toole.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. today at Sardis Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Craig Langdon officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 7 p.m. today, immediately preceding the funeral service. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Sardis Baptist Church cemetery.
Surviving are her sons, Johnny and Bobby Toole, both of Smithfield; a daughter, Phyllis Joyner of Goldsboro; five grandchildren; and, three great-grandchildren.
