Apryl Nicole Smith, 18, died Wednesday. She was born in Wayne County to David E. Smith of Greenville and Charlene Smith of Goldsboro. She was a student at Eastern Wayne High School.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Joshua David Smith of Goldsboro; her maternal grandmother, Geraldine B. Coats of Goldsboro; her paternal grandparents, Byron and Joyce Smith of Indianapolis, Ind.; her aunt, Denise Smith of Ind.; her uncle, Doug Smith of Ind.; a special uncle, Ray Bunn of N.J.; and special friends, Pat Mooring, Christina and Timmy.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Tommy E. Smith of the Hood Swamp Community.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at 306 Brantwood Drive. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Stead officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
