WARSAW - Genevieve Carter, 81, died Saturday in Boaz, Ala. She was born to the late Rudolph Duffy Carter and wife, Lucy Jean Batchelor Carter, of Duplin County. Mrs. Carter was a member of Unity United Methodist Church.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Community Chapel, Community Funeral Home, 1654 Highway 24/50 East with the Rev. Robert Bandy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at funeral home.
She is survived by one brother, Harvey Carter of Boaz, Ala.; two sisters, Anne Carter Larson of Water Valley, Miss., and Shirley Carter Stevens of Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Unity United Methodist Church, c/o C.M. Outlaw, 1749 W. Wards Bridge Road, Warsaw, 28398 or Wiregrass Hospice, 510 S. Fourth St., Gadsdon, Ala. 35901.
