William "Bill" Dean, 79, 103 Pope Ave. died Saturday at his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday Evening at 6 p.m. in the Chapel at Coley Funeral Home. The Rev. George Arant will officiate. A graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Kenly Cemetery.
Among his survivers is his wife, Deane Hayes Dean; daughter, Iris Dean Massey, of Selma; son, William D. Dean, of Stanford; three sisters, Dorothy D. Bateman, of Florence, S.C.; Nora D. Johnson, of Laurinburg; Kay D. Ledford, of Darlington, S.C.; and two brothers, Paul Dean, of Fork, S.C., Donald F. Dean, of Dillon, S.C.; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
The family will receive friends following the evening service.
