Died Oct. 27, 2006

Mary Virginia Moore, 67, died on Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was born in Sumter, S.C., to James Morant, and the late Annie B. Logan.

She was an employee of Western Sizzlin' in Wilmington, for over 30 years, and then transferred to the Goldsboro Western Sizzlin' in 2000. She was a dedicated employee, mother, and friend. Ms. Moore was a member of St. Phillips AMEZ church in Wrightsboro for a number of years. While living in Goldsboro, she attended the Lord's Table. She is survived by her children: Deborah Dawson and husband, Willie, of Sumter, S.C.; Glen Hudley and wife, Nicole, of Wilmington; Alethea Aikens and husband, Larry, Lasauna Nolan-Tucker and husband, Pascal, and, Angela Riley, all of Goldsboro; Alton Moore II of Newport News, Va.; three special friends, Annie Wellington, Joann Cole, and Kathy Fletcher of Goldsboro; a niece, Renee Wellington; and a god-granddaughter, Niya Boatwright, of Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held at High Hills AME Church, 6780 Meetinghouse Road, Dalzell, SC 29040, on Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev James Cooper officiating.
