PIKEVILLE -- Dessiree Dail Lipscomb, 82, died Saturday at the home of her daughter.

Graveside service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Nahunta Cemetery in the Nahunta Community. Pastor Chrystal McCullen will officiate.

Ms. Lipscomb was born in Greene County on Jan. 5, 1924, to the late Gurney Dail and Pearl Radford Dail.

She is survived by two sons, George Lipscomb and wife, Helene, of Goldsboro and Dennis Lipscomb and wife, Janice, of Eureka; three daughters, Ann Rose of Nahunta, Linda James of Pikeville and Connie Parrish and husband, Ronald, of Dudley; one brother, Bobby Dail and wife, Annette, of Goldsboro; four sisters, Irene Collier of Nahunta, Clarice Smith and Lily Rose Combs, both of Goldsboro and Betty Evans of Pikeville; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lillie Ann Dail of Goldsboro; and special friends, Dixie Smith and Alice Mondell.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Lipscomb was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lipscomb; one son, James Lipscomb; and one daughter, Vonnie Lipscomb.

The family will receive friends today from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro and at other times at the home of her daughter, Linda James, 834 Forehand Road, Pikeville.
