Died Oct. 29, 2006

Carlton Worth Warren, 80, of Goldsboro died Sunday.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Highway 13, Newton Grove. Burial will be in the Warren Family/Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the graveside service at the church.

Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Ila Lee Warren; brothers, James L. Warren and M. Edward Warren; and sisters, Jewel W. Stein and Ila W. Johnson.

Survivors include brothers, Percy A. Warren and his wife, Cleo, of Fayetteville and Clarence L. Warren and wife, Rometta, of Newton Grove; sisters, Ruth W. Holleman of Apex and Frances W. Dunn of Newton Grove; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Warren, a farmer, served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and upon honorable discharge, attended Wake Forest College. His family and many friends will miss his absence.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to James and Becky Dunn for their kindness and care in their home, and then, later, at the Somerset Nursing Home.
