Edna Hamilton Artis, 57, of 1400 Stephens St., died Wednesday morning at her residence. She was formerly employed as a machine operator at Cooper Bussman and a member of Deeper Life Church Ministries where she served as financial secretary for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cenie and Ethel Mae Darden Hamilton.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Deeper Life Church Ministries, with Apostle Norbert Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was survived by her husband, Larry Artis, of the home; two daughters, Sorita Artis of the home and Vikki Marcell of Phenix City, Ala.; a son, Larry Devon Artis, Clayton; sister, Doris Hamilton of Magnolia, N.J.; five brothers, Carl Ray Hamilton of Queens, N.Y., Willie Hamilton of Goldsboro, Jerry Davis of East Orange, N.J., Cenie Hamilton of Jacksonville and Garland Hamilton of Kansas, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
Viewing will be 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. Family will receive friends at the residence.
