EUREKA - Jerry Dale Mooring, 62, died Monday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at Mount Nelson Baptist Church in Eureka. The Reverend Clyde Johnson will officiate.
Mr. Mooring was born in Wilson County on March 19, 1944, to the late Willie Mooring and Maybelle Varnell Mooring. He was a member of Mount Nelson Baptist Church in Eureka. He was owner and operator of Jerry's Upholstery in Eureka until his health declined.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Jackson Mooring; two sons, Timothy Dale Mooring and his wife, Lisa, of Saulston and Quinton Alan Mooring of Eureka; two daughters, Wanda Sheryl Mooring of Eureka and Mellissa Ann Mooring of LaGrange; two sisters, Willie Mae Bridgers of Eureka and Belinda Brown of Eureka; one brother-in-law, Howard Brown of Eureka; and five grandchildren, Christopher Dale Mooring, Jerry Tyler Mooring, Justin Paul Mooring, Harley Nicole Myers and Kaleb Bryce Mooring.
The family will receive friends following the service on Thursday evening at Mount Nelson Baptist Church in Eureka and other times at 111 West Main Street in Eureka.
