Guy Clifton Parker, 80, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at noon at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist headquarters with the Rev. Harold Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the First Congregational Church Cemetery in Dudley.

He was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Beaufort. He served in the Marine Corps in the Asiatic Pacific Area from 1944 to 1946. He was owner of Guy Parker's Barbecue.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Manuel Parker of the home; a daughter, Annette Parker of Riverdale, Md.; a son, John Parker of Greensboro; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Henry Parker; and two sisters, Laura Bryant and Annie Vivian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Dill Parker and Annie Geneva Parker and a son, Clifton Lamont Parker.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.

Arrangements are being handled by McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
