HARRY L. JORDAN

Harry Lowell Jordan, 56, of Mount Olive, died Tuesday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Wayne County, he grew up in Sampson County and attended Pleasant Union Christian Church of which he continued to be a member.

He had served in the N.C. National Guard, and his earlier years of employment were in the loan finance business. At the time of his death, he was employed as office manager with EasterSeals UCP/ASAP in its mental health division.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive with the Rev. Jim Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Harry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie Wellington Jordan of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian Kevin Jordan and Donna Lynn Jordan of Mount Olive; a very special granddaughter, Lauren Marie Jordan, who was dear to her "Pe-Pa's" heart; a brother, Andy Jordan of Newton Grove; two sisters, Rita J. Keene of Newton Grove and Elaine J. Porter of Grantham; and his mother-in-law, Peggy Wellington of Mount Olive.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Ivey Graham Jordan and Zilla Boyette Jordan.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.

The Jordan family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home from 6 until 9 p.m. tonight, and at other times at the home of Kevin and Lynn Jordan at 2060 Grantham School Road, Mount Olive, N.C.
