PORTSMOUTH, Va. -- Philip Ray Lewis, 61, Chatham Road, died Sunday in a Norfolk, Va., hospital.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Sturtevant Funeral Home chapel with Keith Lewis officiating.
A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late Guy Hill Lewis. He was a retired iron worker with Iron Workers Local 79.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Davis Lewis; his mother, Annie Hogg Lewis of Goldsboro; two sons, Kevin Lewis and wife, Dee, and Christopher Lewis and wife, Bonnie of Portsmouth; a sister, Jeannie Ellis of Goldsboro; two brothers, Danny Lewis of Goldsboro and Jerry Lewis of Newport; two brothers-in-law, Robert Davis and wife, Joyce, and Ray Davis and wife, Annie, of Grantham; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, 23513.
