DOROTHY M. BURN

Dorothy Mandeville Burn, 96, a resident of Alterra Sterling House, died Tuesday at her home.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church with the Rev. Martin Armstrong and the Rev. Hunter Preston officiating.

Mrs. Burn was born in Morris County, N.J., to the late Harrison Mandeville and Etta Young Mandeville. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Gray and husband, John, of Goldsboro and Audrey Gilman of Cary; her grandchildren, Steve Gray, Sharon Perrin, Stephanie Massa, William Gilman, Tom Gray and Wendy Medlin; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Burn, and seven siblings.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice, 1201 Wayne Memorial Dr., Goldsboro, 27534, or to New Hope United Methodist Church, 200 E. New Hope Road, Goldsboro, 27534.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Sterling House, the staff of Community Home Care and Hospice and the special caretakers of Mrs. Burn.

The family will receive friends following the service at New Hope United Methodist Church and other times at the home her daughter, Joanne Gray, 1914 Pinemont Circle, Goldsboro.
