MARY WILSON SIMPSON

May 12, 1930-Oct. 3, 2006

Mrs. Mary Alice Wilson Simpson, 76, died Tuesday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Simpson was born in Fannin County, Georgia to the late Thomas L. Wilson and Mary Ronnie Tarpley Wilson. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the J. Paul Edwards Sunday School Class and the Aldersgate Circle. Mrs. Simpson had also served on the Altar Guild at St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Belfast Extension and Community Association Club.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Morrison and Rev. JoAnn Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband, Mark B. Simpson, Jr.; her daughter, Terri L. Simpson of Wilmington; her son, Timothy M. Simpson and wife, Jane King Simpson of Swansboro; her grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah; her brother, Howard Wilson and wife, Kay of League City, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church or to St. Paul United Methodist Women, 204 E. Chestnut Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.
