BOBBY EDWARDS

Mr. Bobby Kemp Edwards, died suddenly Tuesday in West Virginia.

Mr. Edwards was born in Wayne County to Ethel Davis Edwards of Goldsboro and the late Charles Pearson Edwards. He was a 1969 graduate of Rosewood High School and worked for the City of Goldsboro for 20 years at the Waste-Water Treatment Plant. Mr. Edwards served his country in the United States Army for 12 years during the Vietnam War. While serving, he was wounded and was the recipient of two purple hearts. Mr. Edwards enjoyed the outdoors and had a great love for fishing and hunting.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Olsen officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Charles Edwards, Carey Edwards and Wendy Edwards; his grandchildren, Brittany and Sara Elizabeth.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Pine Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 867 N.C. Hwy. 581 South, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
