ELIZABETH HAWKINS

Elizabeth Hamilton Hawkins of Fort Valley, Ga. formerly of Goldsboro,died Monday afternoon in the Eau Claire Corporative Health Center in Columbia, S.C.
"Liz" was the daughter of the late Bishop Charlie and Eliza Coley Hamilton. Liz, being the last sibling of the family, was preceded in death by Elnora Murphy, Jessie Hamilton, Charlie Lee Hamilton, Mary Whitley, Louvenia Ashford, and Levi Hamilton Sr.
She was educated in the Goldsboro public school system, and graduated from Fayetteville State University. She was married to the late Coach James Edward Hawkins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Chapel 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, NC.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories nieces, and nephews: Stuart and Barbara Hamilton, who were her guardians in Columbia S.C.; May and Alexander Reese, Levi II and Grace Hamilton, of Goldsboro; Shirley Hamilton Carter, of Durham; LaMont Hamilton, of Wilson; Charlcne and Leon Brown, and Stephanie Nesbirt of New York, and Douglas Murphy; great-nieces and nephews, Karen and husband Wayne, Coralynn, David; LaMonique, Ten and wife Lany, Levi, III, Karl and wife Jennifer, Chawanda and husband Richard, Tova, Christopher, Jonathan and wife Kenya, Kaaryn and husband Anthony, Alexander and wife Jerrje TiJmadge, Madison, Eric, Rhia, Arm'm,
Justin and wife Kellie, Dwayae and wife Heather, and many great great nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
