Died Sept. 27. 2006
Funeral Service for Earl Barnes will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe A. Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in Barnes Family Cemetery.
Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife, Glendora Barnes, of the home; four sons, Robert Barnes and Alvin Barnes of Fayetteville, John Cox of Goldsboro, and Clifford Barnes of Augusta, Ga.; three daughters, Joyce Barnes and Torleta Jones of Goldsboro, and Angel Barnes of Belsville, Md.; four sisters, Aletha Lewis and Nancy B. Harper of Goldsboro, Lila Sewell and Emma Yates of Philadelphia; two brothers, Laroy Barnes and Eddie Barnes of Goldsboro.
Viewing at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home will be tonight from 2 until 8 p.m. with the family present from 7 until 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home, 1377 Tommy's Rd. Condolences may be e-mailed to lightnermfh@nuvox.net or faxed to 734-4153.
