WARSAW -- Funeral services for Marvin "Big Bud" Johnson, 69, of 126 Grove Run Drive, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the New First Baptist Church, Kenansville, with the Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Kenan Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson died Saturday at SunBridge Nursing Center.
He is the son of the late Luther and Maggie Miller Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Ann Johnson of the home; four daughters, Kaye W. Brunson of Faison, Marvella Speed of Fuquay Varina, Marion Smith of Willard, and Paulita Puckett of Hope Mills; two brothers, Luther Johnson and James Johnson of Warsaw; one sister, Mavis Southerland of Magnolia; six grandchildren and four great grandchilden.
Viewing will be held today from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
