Ronald "Ron" Melvin, 61, of 1676 Old Smithfield Road, passed away on Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
He was the husband of Sylvia Melvin. Mr. Melvin was retired from the City of Goldsboro Police Department as a Sergeant and a Charter member of United In Christ Church.
