James Hatcher Jr., 61, of Rose Hill, died Thursday at the VA Medical Center, Durham.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Rose Hill, at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Dr. W.K. Raynor will officiate. Burial will follow at the Mitchell Field Cemetery, Clarkton.
Survivors include three sons, Timothy Hatcher of Senoia, Ga.; James Hatcher III of Richmond, Va., and Christopher Hatcher of Goldsboro; two daughters, Janet Hatcher of New Haven, Conn., and Pamela Ford, of Stafford, Va.; one brother, Council Hatcher of Rose Hill; two sisters, Lillian Rice of Norfolk, Va., and Melva Boyd of Shelbyville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; one uncle; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Friday at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill.
The family is being served by Rose Hill Funeral Home.
