ROSE HILL -- John Allen Moore Sr., 91, died Wednesday at Duplin General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Beck officiating.
Born Aug. 28, 1915, to the late John Wesley Moore and wife, Addie Lena Vann Moore, of Pender County, he was a World War II veterans and the husband of India Register Moore of Rose Hill.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Allen Moore Jr. of Whitsett and William Murray Moore of South Gate, Mich.
Visitation will follow the service at the church.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the Rose Hill family home.
