NEWTON GROVE -- Jerry Lee Carter, 58, 1272 Kenan Weeks Road, died Saturday at Betsy Johnson Hospital of Dunn.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Western Assembly Headquarters of Newton Grove with the Rev. Andre Cannon officiating. Burial will be in Piney Green Church Cemetery of Newton Grove.
He is survived by his wife, Rubia Parker Carter of the home; three daughters, Amanda C. Raynor of Dudley, Catina Parker of Newton Grove and Doris P. Oates of Four Oaks; three sons, Anthony Parker and Charles Parker of Newton Grove and Tyrone Parker of Coharie; 10 sisters, Louise Carter and Ethel Bullock of North Carolina, Willa McAlpine, Holly Carter, Deborah Coleman and Brenda Coleman of Alabama, Mary McAlpine of California, Della Coleman and Ernestine Coleman of Maryland and Kimberly Hardy of Georgia; 12 brothers, Henry Coleman of Florida, Horace McAlpine Jr., Frank McAlpine, Carl McAlpine, Carnell McAlpine, Charlie McAlpine, Michael McAlpine, Leon Coleman and Tommy Coleman of Alabama, Samuel McAlpine of California, Willie McAlpine of Michigan and Nebraska McAlpine of Georgia; his mother, Ethel Coleman; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Brock Memorial and Worley Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
