Evelyn Renfrow Peterson, 88, 8135 Renfrow Road, died Tuesday.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Buckhorn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andy Cockrell officiating.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tona H. Turner.
She is survived by a sister, Daphne Millinor of Wilmington; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Buckhorn United Methodist Church.
