LORRAINE K. WHITMOYER

Lorraine Kinch Whitmoyer, 81, entered into life triumphant Aug. 20 at Wake Med with her family by her side.

A memorial service in celebration of her life was held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Services in Pennsylvania will be held in September.

She was born in New Bloomfield, Perry County, Pa., to the late Harry Guy and Mary Kinch and was married to the late Rev. Paul Whitmoyer.

While in Goldsboro, she was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She received her RN degree from Polyclinic School of Nursing in 1946 and retired as directress of nursing at Tressler's Perry Village.

Service, caring and giving were the cornerstones of Lorraine's life, both personally and professionally.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen J. Demmy.

She is survived by four children, Nancy Suttvireeson of Goldsboro, Mark Whitmoyer and wife, Debbie, of New Bloomfield and Harrisburg, Pa., Neil Whitmoyer of Carlisle, Pa., and Treva Inzerillo and husband, Dr. John, of Washington, N.C.; two granddaughters, Jessica Daigrepont and husband, Teska, of Bristow, Va., and Elena Henley of Leesburg, Va., two grandsons, John Trey and Joel Paul Inzerillo of Washington, N.C.; her sister-in-law, Ruth Fleck of Las Vegas, Nev.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Because Lorraine always put others first, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to a favorite charity.
