FREMONT -- Roy Deans, 68, 300 South St., died Monday at Fremont Rest Center.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home with Apostle D.L. McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
He was the son of the late Coy Deans Sr. and Cornelia Adams Deans.
He was a Wayne County native and retired as a chef in New York City.
He is survived by three daughters, Melinda Barnwell and Barbara Jean Deans of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Delia Wilson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three brothers, Coy Deans Jr. of Wilson, Wayne Deans of Newport News, Va., and Ray Deans of Hampton, Va.; two sisters, Doris Artis of Pikeville and Emma Jacobs of Columbia, S.C.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home.
