Mrs. Vivian Marie (Ree) Rodgers Smith, 82, of Goldsboro, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Atkinson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Atkinson Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Delia Rodgers, and her husband Jesse Lee Smith.
She is survived by five daughters, Agnes Rodgers, Barbara McDowell of Elm City, Jessie Bryant of Hampton, Va., Freda Williams of Atlanta and Beneatta Smith of Goldsboro; one son, Randy Smith of Goldsboro; and one honorary son Dwayen Rodgers; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother Earl Rodgers; and a host of nieces and nephews.
