Adell McNair, 63, of 102-B Johnson Place, Mount Olive, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. James Church of Christ. The Rev. Joseph Warren Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Cobb Cemetery in Faison.

Mrs. McNair was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late John D. and Mary Stephens McNair. She attended Carver High School and was employed for many years as a dietitian at Sunbridge Nursing Home. She was a member of St. James Disciples Church, where she served as vice president of the Usher Board and was a member of the choir.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra McNair of Dudley; two sons, James McNair and Terrect McNair of Dudley; four brothers, John D. McNair Jr., Bobby Joe McNair, Donald Lee McNair and Billy Ray McNair of Mount Olive; two sisters, Brenda McNair of Goldsboro and Vanessa Martin of Grantham; and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Another daughter, Laura Ann Price, preceded her in death.

Relatives and friends are invited to sigh the register today from 2 to 6 at the McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, 401 Center St. Mount Olive.

The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there prior to the funeral on Saturday.
