Eloise Strickland Wyatt, 94, of Goldsboro, died Tuesday afternoon at Britthaven of Kinston.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Johnson officiating.

Mrs. Wyatt was born in Wayne County to the late Thomas E. Strickland Sr. and Nettie Evans Strickland. She was the widow of Frank K. Wyatt and was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, William Wayne "Bill" Wyatt, and his wife, Lorena Moseley Wyatt, of Kinston; one daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Bennett Waters, and her husband, Alan Wade Waters, of Conover; one brother, Leonard Strickland of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Megan Wyatt, Bryan Bennett and Christine Castillo; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Castillo, Joshua Castillo and Ruth Castillo.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Wilson and Catherine Strickland; and four brothers, Thomas E. Strickland Jr., Floyd Strickland, Alvin Strickland and Howard Strickland Sr.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the Goldsboro residence.
