NEWTON GROVE -- Eli R. Joyner, 87, of 700 Mount Olive Drive, died Monday.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West & Dunn Funeral Home. The Rev. Lily Chou will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Joyner is survived by five grandchildren, Timothy D. Barefoot of Snow Hill, Blake A. Green of Dunn, Robert E. Joyner of Newton Grove, Courtney L. Joyner of Mount Olive and Nichole J. Swanson of El Paso, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Joyner; one daughter, Joyce J. Bowden; and one son, Earl Joyner.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 until 8:30 at West & Dunn Funeral Home.
