NEWTON GROVE -- The funeral for David Allen "Dave" Giddens, 86, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Union Christian Church. The Rev. Doug Baxter will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Giddens died Sunday.
He is survived by one daughter, Doris Jennings of Raleigh; two sons, Mark Giddens and Billy Giddens of Newton Grove; four sisters, Annie Lois McLamb and Evangeline Bradshaw of Clinton and Vivian Rose and Edna Thornton of Newton Grove; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Billy Giddens, 2670 William R. King Road, Newton Grove.
