Janette Oliver, 40, of 205 Ramblewood Drive, Apt. 51, Shelby, died last Thursday at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be held this Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of McIntyre Funeral Home. The Rev. Delores Darden will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Ms. Oliver was a native of Wayne County and was a 1985 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She attended James Sprunt Community College and had been employed as a certified nursing assistant at Britthaven Nursing Home and Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by five daughters, Faith Applewhite of Goldsboro, LaQuetta Oliver of Shelby, and LaKeshia Oliver, Johnisha Oliver and Shamella Oliver of Mount Olive; six brothers, Larry Hagans and Ellis Ray Wynn of Dudley, Rufus Simmons of Goldsboro, Randy Shepard of Rochester, N.Y., Earl Shepard and Spooknik Shepard of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Sheila Hagans of Washington, D.C., and Shatoya Hagans of Far Rockaway, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
Family will assemble at 3643 Highway 117 Alternate at noon on Thursday to prepare for the service.
