VIRGINIA MOORING

Virginia Peele Mooring, 79, of 302 North Goldsboro St., Fremont, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont. Dr. Don Sauls will officiate.

Ms. Mooring was born in Wayne County to the late James Franklin Peele and Lona Talton Peele. She attended Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Pikeville.

She is survived by three sons, Jerry A. Mooring and his wife, Lois, of Goldsboro and Marvin Keith Mooring and his wife, Deborah, and Michael Kent Mooring and his wife, Fannie, of Fremont; five grandchildren, Lori Ann Mozingo and her husband, Ricky, of Pikeville, Jenny Elizabeth Wiggins and her husband, Matthew, of Pikeville, Dana Sauls and her husband, Tray, of Pikeville, Ronnie Lee Jones of Pikeville and Danny Mooring of Fremont; three great-grandchildren, Jordan and Seth Wiggins and Madison Mozingo, all of Pikeville; three sisters, Mayola Waddell of Fremont, Ava Lee Hill of Fremont and Frances Price and her husband, Larry, of Wilson.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Mooring was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin G. Mooring and one brother, Robert Peele.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service on Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery, and other times at the residence
