WILSON -- Edward Carson Dilda, 66, brother of Kenneth Dilda of Mount Olive, died Sunday of pancreatic cancer.
The funeral was conducted today at 11 a.m. at the Church Street Chapel of the Farmville Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Barnhill officiating. Interment will be in Queen Anne Cemetery in Fountain.
Mr. Dilda was born and raised in Fountain and was the son of the late Carson and Blanche Dilda. He moved to Wilson in 1987 and was vice president in charge of worldwide processing with Standard Commercial Corporation before retiring in 2005. He was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church in Wilson.
In addition to his brother, Mr. Dilda is survived by his wife, Joyce Norville Dilda of the home; one daughter, Marilyn LaMar Bethea of Wake Forest; one sister, Joyce Townsend of Clarksville, Ind.; and another brother, Marland Dilda of Ocala, Fla.
The family received friends on Tuesday evening at Farmville Funeral Home in Farmville.
