MOUNT OLIVE --Stephen Emery Cartrette Sr., 62, died Wednesday at home.
A Wayne County native, he was the son of the Emery and Mattie Keen Cartrette and was a member of Eureka Christian Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Danny Fruller will officiate.
Mr. Cartrette is survived by one son, Stephen Cartrette Jr. of Winston-Salem; one daughter, Judy Darlene Cartrette of Goldsboro; one brother, James Cartrette of Fremont; one sister, Densie McCamon of Charleston, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan and Jordan Cartrette.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service, and other times at the home of Lloyd Keen, 1968 Dobbersville Road, Mount Olive.
